My approach

I understand coming to counselling can be difficult and I understand that it is not always easy to speak about difficult or painful areas in your life. Whilst exploring potentially difficult or painful areas of your life, I will treat your issues and concerns with compassion, care, and sensitivity. I will provide a safe, non-judgemental space so you can be heard, supported, and understood.

As your therapist, I will be there to support you but more importantly you are in ‘charge’ of your sessions so you can choose to talk about what is important for you. I will support you to explore your beliefs and behavioural patterns so that I can support you to develop your autonomy.

Testimonials

I felt confident and emotionally safe to openly talk to my therapist as I was being listened to with patience. I have learned new perspectives and techniques to help me cope with stress, anxiety and understand people. Now, I definitely feel better than before I started therapy as I have spoken about parts of my life that needed to be addressed to help me understand myself. I am glad I reached out for help as I knew I was mentally suffering but didn’t know where to start from. Thank you to my therapist for the support and for being there – I always looked forward to the sessions

My weekly session truly was like an anchor for me – it provided me with the space I needed in order to explore my issues away from the distractions of day-to-day routines and my own thoughts. I received very thoughtful feedback and guidance in the form of tools that I can readily apply in my daily life, and which help me to approach situations in a healthier way.
