About me

I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, and member of the BACP where I work in line with their high standards and ethical guidelines.

I am no judgemental, and this is reflected through the warmth, understanding and empathy I bring to my work and working relationships.

My approach

Sometimes in life we struggle. That struggle may be relating to your past, maybe its struggle in your present life or even struggle concerning what your future may look like. Whatever that may be, by coming here, perhaps you don’t have to struggle alone with this anymore.
I believe therapy is a collaboration between you and I, and I endeavour to focus on your needs in a confidential, understanding, and supportive space. We would work to navigate our way through your emotional struggles as well as work towards understanding you, your thoughts, and your emotions on a deeper level.
Together, we would consider your early life experiences and how these impact your current thought processes, emotions, and behaviours. With the greater understanding that comes from this, we can work to heal your mental stresses together.
I understand how difficult it can be, to embark on the therapeutic journey, which is why I aim to hold a safe, secure, non-judgemental and confidential space for you. This includes working with grounding techniques and mindfulness to support your wellbeing both within and outside of the space.

“I have been working with Jaye for approximately 3 years and I can confidently say she is an amazing counsellor. She’s empathetic and takes time to understand you and any of your troubles. "Meeting with Jaye has provided a supportive safe space that I trust. It is a space where I feel heard and understood with zero judgement. Our sessions have helped me to recognise my subconscious thought processes, and together we work through difficult emotions and situations to help better understand them and discuss ways in which I can manage them. When we first met I had a limited understanding of myself, and throughout our sessions we piece together those parts of myself together that I haven’t previously acknowledged or thought about, and as a result I have gained a new understanding of myself which has positively impacted many aspects of my life. Ultimately, I feel unconditionally supported and it gives me a great deal of confidence and security in my day-to-day life to know that I have a space each week to unload and recenter where I will be met with support and kindness."
